Even when you are in a clasroom full of students you can feel each of them. Their reactions, their curiosity (or lack of it in some cases) - you know that you have personal relationship with your students. And ask any teacher about feeling that you get when you meet your student after a longer period of time. When we work on lesson in an e-learning system we reflect that personal touch that students recognize. When someone uses digital objects as building blocks to create a lesson, it can be made in a number of ways. But what if we want more? More detail, to have that personal touch in the right spot, there where it matters the most. Then we should be able to modify those objects, to change...Continue reading

The Geanium team was bored last weekend and decided to leave the Earth on a journey outside our solar system. A perfect example being Voyager missions: Geanium can visualize multiple timelines (Voyager 1 and Voyager 2), and the timespan is long enough. Planet and satelite dynamics are fun to monitor.Enjoy space exploration with our latest Geanium demo. Press play on a Geanium player, and see you at the final frontier. Team Geanium will be at the Its Learning Norwegian User Group Meeting on 11th to 13th April. Content examples are first of many, aimed to demonstrate the concept of viewable items that can be created using Editor or purchased as ready-to-use course object (Geanium Rome) and as a editable content too where Its learning users can add own timeline on top of all prepared data on...Continue reading

At first sight seeing those two names you think of music, but not any kind of music, but one which you could listen day after day, but each in different time of day. Lady Gaga today is one of the most popular musicians and you can't separate her music from her stage act (that is also common off stage too). With different art concept that focuses on musical experience only, Tommy Emmanuel reputation and talent is already known in every part of world. Here at Geanium office we have fans of both artists and for us it is interesting to see how those two musicians travel around world and preparing themselves for performances and what  locations they choose. The difference is huge. ...Continue reading

Geanium has wide use as we seen in previews demos. Lets imagine that you want to move from your apartment to a new house in specific neighborhood but you don’t know is that neighborhood safe or not, or you just want to see how occasionally the crime is occurred in your neighborhood. This demo shows Geanium in that environment, as the data used this time are real police reports for Greenville, North Carolina, USA over two months period. The map consists of the part of the city that is assigned to one patrol and patrol logs are used as events. All data is obtained from public sources. Intention is to demonstrate  how easily it can be done and how fascinating it looks when in front of...Continue reading
